Janie Dade Smith is Professor of Innovations in Medical Education at Bond University. She is the previous President of CRANAplus the peak body for all remote health. Janie was previously Director of RhED Consulting Pty Ltd. She is a health educationalist who has worked extensively in rural and remote Australia across all health disciplines and a board range of government and non government sectors. She is author of Australia's rural, remote and Indigenous health, the 3rd edition was published in 2016 by Elsevier Australia. Her particular areas of interest are: innovative education, remote health, interprofessional education, rural and remote workforce issues, curriculum development and Indigenous health.

Professor Craig Veitch was the inaugural Chair of Rural Health at James Cook University, Queensland from 2000 to 2007. In December 2007, he became the inaugural Professor of Community Based Health Care at The University of Sydney and the Director of the Centre for Community Based Health Care at Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney. His research interests include health care behaviour and decision making, health services research, road crashes, cancer, health workforce in rural areas, community based rehabilitation, and outreach rehabilitation services.

Lisa Pont is a registered pharmacist and Senior lecturer in pharmacology and clinical pharmacy, in the Faculty of Nursing, University of Sydney. Tasmania. Lisa has a PhD in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Groningen in The Netherlands. Her main research area is using drug use data to promote quality use of medicines with a focus on quality of care for elderly persons. She has a keen interest in all aspects of geriatric pharmacy, drug use patterns quality improvement and pharmacoepidemiology.
