David Rosenthal - Previously Associate Professor in Rural Medical Education at Flinders University of SA is resident in the Riverland of South Australia and worked closely with the resident cohort of year 3 students permanently living in the Riverland undertaking the penultimate year of their post graduate entry medical course. He has been in rural general practice in Renmark for 44 years and has also been medicopolitically active over the past 30 years. He is currently Director of Medical Services at Riverland General Hospital Berri South Australia.

Emeritus Professor Paul Worley, Executive Director of Clinical Innovation at the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network, former Australian Rural Health Commissioner and former Dean of the School of Medicine at Flinders University, is the Editor-in-Chief of Rural and Remote Health. Paul is a practicing rural doctor and, as Editor, shapes and guides the journal, oversees the review process and supports and advises authors, taking an active interest in the progress of each article in production.
