Dr Boniface Ikenna Eze is a senior lecturer at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, and honorary consultant ophthalmomologist/Retina-Vitreous physician to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College - FMCOph, West African College of Surgeons- FWACS, and International College of Surgeons-FICS. He is the director of postgraduate training programme in ophthalmology. He successfully completed fellowship training in Medical Retina/Vitreous at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India. Academic contributions: numerous scholarly scientific articles in local and high-impact international Journals, book chapters in mainstream text, supervision of postgraduate fellowship dissertations, and n umerous conference presentations. Research interests: vitreo-retinal diseases, orbito- ocular anthropometry, evidence-based eye care, resources for eye care delivery, ophthalmic imaging, and medical education.
