Catherine Bateman

Catherine is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) and Master of Nursing (Research). She has over 36 years nursing experience working in rural acute, community and residential care settings. In 2014 she was awarded the New South Wales (NSW) Health Excellence in Nursing and Midwifery - Judith Meppem Lifetime Achievement Award. Catherine is the nursing representative on the Greater Western Human Research Committee, NSW, Australia and has been a Quality Systems Assessor with the NSW Clinical Excellence Commission since 2012. Catherine is passionate about improving quality and systems of care, particularly for vulnerable older adults.
