Dr Caroline Havery is an Associate Professor in the Academic Language and Learning (ALL) Group at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. Her expertise is in the fields of education, language education and applied linguistics, particularly as applied to healthcare degrees. Caroline has extensive experience developing, teaching, and researching academic literacies and professional communication. Caroline has also worked with the WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Health at UTS to provide technical advice on the development a new Bachelor of Nursing curriculum at Vanuatu College of Nursing Education, and has worked in country with educators and clinicians conducting workshops on academic literacy practices, and theories and practices of student centred learning.
