I am a PhD student and lecturer at the Occupational Therapy Department of the University of the Witwatersrand. I obtained my master’s degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2017. My Master's degree focused on implementing routine outcome measurement for mental health care users attending occupational therapy programs in rural South Africa. Currently, I coordinate the second year undergraduate Mental Health curriculum, involved in master's teaching and supervision. My research interest is in the quality and efficiency of mental health services for patients and their families. My PhD research focuses on developing guidelines for alleviating caregiver burden amongst informal caregivers of persons with severe mental disorders in rural South Africa.
